Any single dins that blend well with the Z interior?
Single din can look very good in the Z
, and you get an additional and convenient storage shelf.

Single DINs do not blend well with 350Z interior for some reason. I hate the look and how cheap it makes it look.
Just go double, you wont regret it. $350 for a DDX470 with everything from crutchfield is NOT bad at all. I loveeeee mine, its probably my favorite part on my car at the moment.

I like how it looks with the OE navigation as well.

Not all but many people who are in car audio from a competition level , and I am not saying that is the OP situation, but much of the higher end pieces geared to this demographic over the past 15 years have been and IMHO still are single din units.
So you see some amazing single din installs due to that fact , so IMHO they look as good or better .
Pioneer Stage 4 P99RS
Rockford Fosgate RFX-9420
Mcintosh MX-406
to name a few

I think how it looks is subjective and secondary to how it sounds
and a single din can be installed to look as good or better
key being install dependent

Great work man.
That looks great, if I were to go single DIN id probably go with that unit as well. I had the older model Kenwood in my '97 Accord and I loved it, it sounded great and easy to use.
PS: I have the same shift **** and I love it!

That looks very cool! I need to throw out my bose HU already its been glithcy with playing/changing CDs and I am desperate for AUX/USB plugs again! My last car, my wifes car and everyone's car has this minute but essential feature and it kills me not having it anymore. I would like to throw the stock nav in and then get a double din like this.
Do you have a smart phone? There aren't really any nav units that even come close to the Google navigation app. Turn by turn GPS based navigation and it can even overlay StreeView images so you SEE exactly what the roads/turns look like. Just plop your phone in the cubby.

Plus you get updates and traffic reports.
I mostly agree, but the spoiler/problem is the smartphone's screen is too small for easy viewing. I like a built-in that is 7"'s or larger.

Just thought I'd update on what I ended up doing. I got a pioneer avh-2600bt off of sonic for ~$250 shipped with all the install gear. Its a newer model but it has gotten pretty good reviews so far and the price was right so I went for it. I'll be sure to post some pictures and a possibly a short review in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, any suggestions on the best places to route the rear usb and to mount the bluetooth mic?
Thanks to everyone for the great suggestions in this thread, I definitely took it all into consideration when making a decision and I appreciate the advice.

I actually tried my mic in a few locations, one of which was near the rear-view mirror. It works better at the top of the A-pillar, though, perhaps because it's a bit closer to my face. Just a guess, but the mic is likely fairly directional, so it probably picks up best what's directly in front of it. Road noise, with the windows closed, doesn't seem to play a role in what the person on the other end of the call hears, at with my DDX470 setup. YMMV.

My mic on my rear view mirror and I have no issues with it, everyone hears me just fine and I dont raise my voice.
I thought about the steering column, but it would "stick out" too much and I wanted it to look OEM.
As for the wind noise issue, you guys leave your windows down during calls? I always roll them up when the breezys hit me up.
