I had a box like this on a car alarm I had installed about 15 years ago. I had no idea what it actually did though. I didn't even notice it until a year after it was installed.

 

Easy Button?

 

Nowadays dealers install aftermarket alarms and try to stick you with the cost of them after the sale.

I am sure this is a valet mode button of some sort, just ignore it

 

The only way to know is to follow the wires.Definately not factory,but as mentioned could be an alarm or kill switch,etc.

i was thinking the thrusters too tho..

and brake lights work fine when i press it.
il try to see if its a remote start button when i drive it in a bit. i doubt it tho.. lol
and i bought the car from a dealer not the po.

ill follow the wiring and post a pic of that prob tomorrow morning..

 

My ex had something like that on her car, i think she said it was something to disable the remote start feature. But who knows....she was crazy
