Default subwoofer placement

I was wondering what ways ppl have put their subs in. just wondering what way sounds better? front facing or facing back under the strut bar. I have two 10's to put in. I have kicker compVR's and a FG 500T1 mono AMP

Under the bar facing back would sound best.

I have a single 12 behind the bar facing up. Love it.

This is what i have in my car. Two 10" jl audio in a stealth box. Love it cause it hangs behind the bar so i still have decent amount trunk space.

I have 0 trunk space

Amp rack in front of the bar, second battery under the rack under the bar, sub box filling the whole rear part.

Mine is in the stock position. When my back starts hurting I crank up the bass

I have 2 10" massive kilo subs facing towards the rear under the brace with the port facing towards the front in between the seats. I also have the massive 2200 watt 5 channel amp mounted on top of the box. The box was custom built as imagined and sprayed with spray in bedlinderand I have actually won a sound comp with this setup bout 2 weeks after I got it and I am very pleased with it.

Im with those guys that have lost their trunks.
Not only have I lost some 1/4 mile time because of weight, but I also lost all of my trunk, AND access to my spare tire (so i took out the spare).
I thought to myself… "Did I get a Z for the space and amount of passengers? No, I got it for me!"
Anyway here is my setup with 2 12" MTX

I say best way to save room and have the best sound is like mine. 10" u don't need bigger if it's a good sub. Behind driver's seat it can be uncomfortable if u turn it up. My amp is where the stock woofer would have been and I purchased the custom box for the woofer and it fits perfect.

I have since upgraded to a W6, but even the the entry-level WX (in the pic) did well. The W6 with ~500W RMS is ridiculous in the ported enclosure.

The stock sub location isn't that great acoustically, but it has plenty of room for other equipment

I have my sub in the stock location since I'm not a bass freak, but I do love my audio. The stock sub location is good if you are running a single 10. Just be prepared to lay down a bit of Dynamat. I have my amps located in the glovebox since it is rather useless anyway.

I just bought a pioneer 10" sub for 80 bucks off amazon and the enclosure for it was 40 and the entire thing is only 12 x 18" and it sits in the trunk with very minimal space and hits really hard

This isn't my car, but I use one of these from Zenclosures. I'm running a JL-Audio 10W3V3-4 off a JL-Audio G1700 amp.
