Default Reverse camera hook up

So I am planning on installing my HU this weekend along with a reverse view camera. I was looking at the FSM on how to get to the reverse light, and is there seriously no way to get to the back of it without having to pull the whole bumper off? I'm going to try and dig deeper to find where the wiring is running to in order to tap into it, but if lets say your rear blinker goes out,do you seriously have to take off the whole bumper?

I installed my reverse camera without removing the bumper. It would be much easier removing the bumper, but the sun was going down and I didnt want to reinstall it in the dark.

Remove the tail lights and itll give you easy access to the corner lights. Then from there you can grab the reverse bulb, pull it upwards and tap into it.

It's super easy. Like others said just remove the inside panel.

I ran my wires through that grommet as well. Just cut a small slit in it to make room.

I do need to tap into that green wire, I tapped into the pos and neg wires on the reverse socket itself.

Awesome, thanks for the advice. Mine is a roadster so hopefully not too different from the coup around that area. I did find a connector to where the positive of the reverse light runs (its in the area where the roof folds into) so worst comes to worst tap into that, but I'll let you know what I ended up doing. Thanks again.
