It looks like I'll have the Kenwood head unit installed on March 17, along with the 20 GB hard drive. My installer said it's a simple procedure to wire it so the unit will play DVDs while driving......of course, I would never actually do that.

Yeah, but at least you can be absolutely sure you'll be covered if you have any problems with the head unit. That's the one thing that makes Crutchfield's high prices acceptable. I always check their Scratch-n-Dent section. You can sometimes get some fantastic deals in there.

Crutch is great just because of all the free stuff they give you.. i hope you took advantage of the free Sirrus tuner, youd be dumb not to, for an extra 14 bucks you get a 140 dollar tunner!!!!! you can't beat that anywhere

thats one of the reasons i decided to go with them, they sent me my tuner and antenna already, just have to wait till my headunit arrives.

Stop it everybody. I am getting envious.

shaunz could you take pictures of the Kenwood from all angles before you install? Are you doing the install yourself? When I add the Kenwood to my checkout cart at Crutchfield it tells me that there are modifications needed to the mounting kit. What are they? Did you get the Master Sheet instructions? If so, could you scan and post? Sorry for all the questions. I would like to install myself but I don't want to mess up my Z. I am thinking about buying everything and taking it to a local car audio shop.

Thanks

the low voltage is on the amp pre-outs.. it will not affect volume.. just adjust your amps gain to the 2v level and you are set.

I think if you get the dts/dolby digital decoder that there are high voltage outs on the preouts of that unit. Then you get the best of both worlds.
