After installing all of my audio in my 04' 350Z last week I came to discover that the plastic ring that the firewall grommet that the wire harness runs through has broken. Therefor the grommet does not seat as it should and when it rains, it soaks the floor board as well as getting the wires going to the ECU wet. I have search everywhere possible to try to find the parts to fix this and have come up empty handed. After seeing a few threads with a similar issue with the grommet all I found was that people were siliconing it to stop the leaking. That is all well and fine but I prefer to do it right as well as I will be pulling my motor soon to put in another. Does anyone have the part number to this plastic piece that holds the grommet tightly to the metal or does anyone know of a universal grommet that actually seats to both sides of the metal that could be used? Thanks in advance!

 

Do you have a picture of this? I think I may be having a similar issue with my 06 350z.
