Can't really answer the amp speaker question without knowing how much you want to spend. I could name $500-1000 component speakers and you might only want to spend $300. Likewise, most of the amps I like start at $700 and go up from there.

Brands to look at that I will recommend (in no order at all):
xtant - amps
JL Audio - speakers & amps
Precision Power Inc (PPI) - amps
Boston Acoustics - speakers & amps
Arc Audio - amps
Kicker - amps
Diamond Audio - speakers (amps suck)
Dnyaudio - speakers
Soundstream - amps
Zapco - amps

W3s don't need much power to sound good, I'd look at putting at least 100watts to each (200 watts total) and probably 250-450watts each (500-900 total) optimal.

a JL 500/1 is perfect for the two 12w3v2's. the subs will be very happy with that power.

I'm not sure what he has but I have 1 10" sub in my hatch and I had lots of rattles. Took about 10 sheets of dynamat extreme to get rid of all of them (keep in mind at least 2 sheets per door) so really I have about 6 sheets in the hatch area and other places.

Did you install the dynamat yourself??Was it a hard job?On your sub in the hatch did you use a stealth box?

yup, i do have some rattles that i notice mostly from the hatch area. i'm planning on dynamatting it but haven't gotten around to it yet. an easier solution is to just turn the volume up louder .
all my system components are listed in my signature.
perfects are in the doors and subs are in a box i built sitting between the rear seat and strut bar area.
