3 jl amps across the z?
hey all, im getting my z in june and i want to transfer my current amp setup into it. it includes two 500/1's and one 300/4. each measures 13.4"s long so three side by side is 40.2". my question is, will they fit side by side where i have indicated in the picture? i need someone to take a measurement cuz if they wont fit, im going to sell the two 500/1s and just get a 1000/1 cuz i dont want my amps under a plexiglass window. too much heat! thx!!

Plexxiglass won't hurt the amps, well at least it doesn't hurt my Power RF amps. Heck I even have a vinyl cover over the plexiglass.
I will measure when I get home from lunch today since I have an amp rack like that all the way across. Can you wait about 6 hours?

youre always supposed to keep your amps cool.. keeping them in their own little sealed space cant be good.. but whatever floats your boat with the rf's.. i used to have rf all around, head unit, speakers, amps, caps, subs and even wiring.. but their quality went down the **** tubes lately.. as long as you get an he2 or hx2 sub from them, you should be fine though.. amps were always pretty good too.. but their head units SUCK! anyways, if its 4' across, thats plenty of room for my amps to go across there. sweeeeeet..
can someone double check his measurements?

I do have the HX2 subs, no heat problems so far. But its not summer yet.

It's 48 1/2" at the bottom of that area, about 48" just underneath the rear side windows, and about 38" or so between the wheel wells (right in front of the strut bar). The wells don't stick up too much so it shouldn't be a big deal, but I assume you'll have to mount the amps diagonally tilted forward like the above pictured RF setup.
