Is Crutchfield Incorrect?
I searched. I promise. Maybe my Google-fu and forum search skills are inferior. I beg you, spare me.
According to Crutchfield. the rear speaker size is 6.75 inches - https://www.crutchfield.ca/S-YPtjp8h...ssan-350z.html - and 6.5 inch speakers in this location will require a bracket for proper fitment. Every other source I've looked into claims that the rear speaker size is 6.5 inches, which also seems to match the consensus here.
What is the experience of everyone here?
Much love.

Crutchfield isn't incorrect. Factory hole fits UP TO a 6.75" speaker but back in the day (~7 yrs ago when I was installing new speakers), not many mfgrs made speakers in this size/config. To fit my Focal 6.5s properly, I had to re-drill the mounting surface. No big deal. Now, however, there are more 6.75s out there but still no guarantee the mounting holes will line up with the factory. Again, simple re-drill is all it needs.
FRONT speakers, on the other hand.... you do need to be careful on getting speakers that aren't too deep else you might run into backspace interference. They also fit up to 6.75" but the selection is smaller due to the depth restriction.

Dunno, can't recall. I do recall that Crutchfield will supply the correct adapters for the doors (and maybe even the rears). I trust them but do I always buy from them? Nahhhh, some things can be worked around without their "free" kits. But for less, ahem, MICkey Mousers, they're great to get all the right stuff from and have them there to hold your hand if needed during installation.
