Default HU, XM, Amp, DVD, TV Tuner, Xbox, Sub, Speaker install

OK i had some fun this past weekend and took out just about every interior panel on my car. I have factory Navigation as well.

Components:
Head Unit - Alpine CDA-7998
Front Speakers - MB Quart RCE-216 6.5" Component Set (separates)
Amplifier - JL AUDIO 500/5 5 Channel Amp
DVD Player - POWER ACOUSTIK DVD 35
TV Tuner - Navigation TV Tuner System from AVElectronic
Video Game - XBOX
XM – Alpine TUA-T020XM
Sub Woofer – 1 JL Audio 10w6v2 with box

Miscellanies parts:
100’ Fat Mat
XM antenna
Diversity Antenna for Local TV channels
Power Inverter
Alpine KCA-121B (Male Right Angle Ai-Net to Female RCA Cable)
Bass Control ****
Metra Dash Kit #99-7402
2 6 inch Neon Red Tubes
3 Four Point Relays
3 30 Amp glass Fuses
10’ Red Power wire
3’ Ground Wire
2 gold plated rings connectors with shrink tube
1 to 2 Fuse Block
Fuse Block
Wire Divider for three connections
Stock Stereo Plug Adapter
2 sets of RCAs Monster Power 8 feet
1 set RCAs 3 feet
1 component Video/Sound RCA
40’ Speaker Wire
Liquid Nails
3 inch speaker
Banana Plug

Sounds great. I have to cut one additional wire this weekend to fix the vidoe sync. Appartenly there is one extra sync wire on my screen. Nissan has installed two different screens. It was to pin 14 on the navigation plug. I did buy a cheap box for the sub now and will do a custom panel to cover the amp in the next couple of weeks. I have not installed a custom box yet as I ran out of money however I think it will go under the strut bar or to the side of the spare in the trunk.

What do you think?

It is in the glove box. The inverter is installed behind the glove box with a cutout for the two plugs and the switch. The Tv tuner is mounted underneath along with the fuse block. It was raining today so I did not get some more pics. Maybe tomorrow.

The bass control is in the switch plate next to the VDC. The video screen switch is installed in the front of the center console pocket. The IR eyes are installed on the passenger side a-pillar.

Fat Mat. Cut and placed everwhere possible where it did not cover clip or screw holes.

Thanks! Yeah, I wish I had the money to finish. I will have it nailed down by the end of the summer. The box only cost me $100 and I would rather get the better sub and wait for the box. I go to the track 5 times a year so it will be easy to remove for now.

another question if you dont mind... is that aftermarket speakers or stock? cuz they look like stock cheap paper speakers. in my '02 Celica, it has almost the same speakers set up as the Z. it has a big base i guess that's b/c of the magnet that's too deep inside the door panel or something... but my question is, when you're replacing it with an aftermarket speakers do you just remove the speakers itself or the base of it as well?

tnx!

Aftermarket MB Quarts. Remove the entire speaker including the magnet. wood was used to recreate the stock spacern that was part of the orginal speaker. The spacer is used to mount the speaker out a little so the window does not hit it.

Please post some pictures of your AVElectronic Navigation Tuner System installation.

I'm also interested in the video sync problem; didn't know they had two different screens on the 2003. I'm guessing you spliced your AVElectronic system wires directly to the output of the Nav system, since they don't have an adapter, or were you able to use part of the connector?
