changing just HU not enough?
well, im a newbie in car-audio.
im thinking to change out the audio.
this is what im thinking of doing.
change HU, move the sub to trunk area.
is it possible to use stock speakers and sub with new HU?
also, i see ppl installing basslink and dynamat. what are the purposes of these?
one lastly, i feel too little power from the sub.
would it be better to install an amp that is multi-channel (these guys do both speakers and sub, right?) or independent amp for just the sub?
plz suggest me the best method.
$$ is not a big deal, but wanna save as much as possible.
thanks

if you have a sub it sounds like you have a bose system. you can still use the bose speakers with a different head unit - you'll just need converters that i'm sure the shop will be able to get.
just adding a new head unit made my stock speakers sound 10x better. they still don't sound GOOD though, so thats why I'm in the middle of tearing them out now =)

If you have the Bose system, don't think you can just change the HU. The Bose speakers have a 2 ohm load. The HU won't be able to handle that too well.
If anybody knows otherwise, let me know.
Thanks.
