Default Stupid dynamat question

So, those of you that have used sound proffing material in your Z, how do you deal with holes for screws and clips and stuff? Do you just poke a hole through the material, or do you cut, or what? I'm about to start soo, and I have no idea.

Depends on the size of the hole. I just used a screwdrive to punch an hole for the screw or clip. Or use the blade to do a 'X' mark. It does make putting the screw/clip back in harder since there's extra material near the hole, but just think of it as extra grip

I cut a circle around the clip hole, and cover all others up, to a degree.

Cutting a hole in the Dynamat to get to a clip or screw won't make any difference in the sound quality unless the screw or clip is loose. Save your self a hassle later and cut out a hole.

How do the panels fit back in place over the dynamat? It's kinda thick and i didn't think there was that much space between the panels and the metal. But i guess i'm just wrong?
