Question How Much Mounting-Depth In Doors...?

Who knows the MAXIMUM mounting depth to go with for 'COMPS' in the doors?
While we're on the subject:
Best prices online and brand reccomendations?

Thanks!

Well I just got off the horn with a stereo shop, and he was mentioning the small-azz magnet on the stock speakers (imagine that). I'd like to know what components in the doors are you all using?

depends on your budget, focals if you have an extra 300.00 for fronts or I am using the Type R (Alpine) I have no pref.. the Alpine was recomended... and they were like 180.00

Its hard to walk into a store & listen and then decide most stores have their displays setup so they sound good, but car angles are always different so you never know.

the depth was around 1.5" on top of the door and let the other 3/4" hang in the door, thats just off the top of my head.
make sure window is down and door panel is off to determin if it fits.

It was no easy task to install them this way, unless you have done installs before :-)

Alpine Type X.....no problems fitting the comps but the huge crossover took some imagination. Excellent sound. Got 'em on ebay for $159.

I'm happy with my Kicker Rs6c 6.5 resolutions. The place where I get all my work done is Kicker crazy, anyway they seemed to fit in easy.

The fit is probably different for me, but I'm waiting on my Boston Acoustics ProSeries 6.5s...

I started with Infiniti perfects 6.1 but then switched to the focal 165kv - Focal is by far the best. Just have to be willing to pay for it.

Thank you. For wheels contact Mike @ Revhigh & the spoiler is o.e.m. Toyota Celica. More pics here: https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....0&pagenumber=1

I notice that you and chaparro 78 are both local! You guys need to come out tomorrow to the weekly Car Show @ Texas Stardom in Frisco 6 - 9pm. If not, keep your eyes peeled... I'll be organizing a Spring 2004 Dallas MEET real soon.....

Hey dude. I am running JL comps in the doors. I am having Paul price you out these ...

http://iweb.alpine-usa.com/pls/admn/...=155&p_main=10

I may switch as well. Before he dug to far, the Alpine stuff is about 35-40% off if you can wait.

I have the MB Quart QM 218.61 Q 6.5" in box and I planning to mount they in my 350Z doors. Somebody has put this speakers in his 350Z doors? Any modification to fit? Where you put the crossover? How you made the wiring to the doors?
