Only done at the factory. You would need all the wirings, and the ones without Nav are not pre-wired.

Or , you can spend 500$ and get something like this :-
Touch-screen Voice Navigation (way better than the stupid factory nav where you have to play with this little joystick.. lol)
A DVD player that lets you watch while driving (never do it personally )
Receive incoming calls on car stereo
Access the internet and get real-time traffic data..
OBD II diagnostics & real-time sensor data (loads more than the avic-n1 displays)
endless other possibilities...

I have a ? on after market Navs.

For the non integrated display units, can the voice be sey up to connect to a HU to mute whatever is playing?

So if I were to get an Alpine Nav unit, a screen, and an Alpine HU, can the nav hook into the HU? Or does it then require its own speaker?

Just came back from CES.

Most major manufacturers are jumping on the i-Pod adapters. Kenwood is coming out with one as well as Clarion and some others.

Is it possible to put an aftermarket NAV unit where the stock nav goes and wire the cover to close/open like the stock would do as well?
