Well, I went ahead and got the stealthbox. It is a nice clean fit, and definitely nice. I wish I could listen to it though! The a$$munch I bougth the amp for this box on ebay is having "delivery issues" ...

I got mine at a local authorized JL shop here in San Diego for $729 before tax. Most of the places I called and asked for a quote ranged from that to $750. I am not sure you can get them on the web, because it is a special order item from JL itself. You will have to go through an authorized dealer.
$750!! That's a ton for what you're getting. I HIGHLY recommend trying to get the drivers seperately, and building a box that fits the same way. The same setup can easily be done for 350 bucks.
Maybe a pic from the drivers seat looking back into the hatch would change my mind, but it looks really simple.

How you figure $350? The subs alone that they are using (10w3v2?) from the cheapest place online I could fine were $160 each...so your already at $320. While the box is nothing that crazy, it would still cost you at least over $200 to have built at a good stereo shop. So yes, I could see this being done for cheaper than $750 but not at a price of $350. Now if you are going to build it yourself than thats a different story, but a lot of folks will end of paying more due to the simplicity of the transaction.
I agree. It can definitely be done for less than $750 bucks but by the time you buy the subs and spend the time building the box it is definitely going to cost over $750 bucks. I don't have as much time as I did when I was younger so the trade off was fine. I also don't have any experience working with fiberglass.
Does anyone have detailed pictures of the JL Steath box before and/or after installation? I'm considering making some changes to my custom install (I need a bit more cargo space. . .as if, huh
) but wanted to have more detailed look at the JL box installed. Thanks!
