JL Stealthbox opinions?
I am curious for any of you who have installed the stealthbox from JL on whether you would recommend it? What are your impressions? I am planning on ordering one soon, but I would like some opinions on how it sounds and what kind of music you listen to with it.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Just ordered one, I'll tell you as soon as I install it how it sounds. The only downside I can see is the Weight of the box. Could exceed 150Pounds. What Amp do u plan on useing? I'm going with the Jl 500/1. The speakers are topnotch and I'm sure the bounce is worth the buck. I'll send pics ASAP

Well just recieved it today. The weight of the box is 52 pounds; The construction is top notch. it comes with 2 mounting bolts and assorted washers. the instructions are somewhat limited. In my opinion u will not need to mount this box. it fits perfect.
The total cost for the box was 811. with Texas taxes so may vary in CA. I'm waiting on the Amp, I found one new for 419$ maybe ebay might have it cheaper. will post pics as soon as i see daylight.

I had the JL box installed about 2 weeks ago. The W3's don't hit as low as the W7's or W6's especially in this box. I modified the box to have 2 speaker terminals instead of 1. I'm running 2 Alpine MRD-500's. 1 amp per 10", 500W per, plenty power, little distortion and a ton of headroom.
I had the box mounted per the directions. It's solid as a rock, sounds good, matches the carpet, leaves usable space in back and still lets you have access to the spare tire.

I agree with Chaparro. This is NOT a stealth box! As a matter of fact, I venture to say that I could make a better box myself, that would fit in the same spot. Very disappointing from JL.

I really like your stereo setup Chaparro. I'd like to check it out sometime as I'm in Dallas as well. You need to try and make it out to the Texas Stardom car show. They happen every Thursday and usually have a couple of Z guys/gals out there.
