Default touring z bose system to aftermarket

Hey guys. A buddy of mine bought a kenwood 715 indash dvd player and wanted to swap out his 6 disc bose system radio. Can I still have the sub in the back work if I just bypass the amp for the 4 speakers only?? has anyone tried and have any few tips. thanks

Yes, in fact he could bypass both factory amps and use the factory speakers.

I have come to think that if Nissan had just used better amps to begin with, the system probably would have sounded pretty good. Especially when I heard the factory speakers with decent amps bypassing the Bose amps.

Just keep in mind the Bose speakers aren't 4 Ohm.

thanks for the input guys. I just turned on the factory amps with the kenwood harness. It didnt sound that horrible but he was not looking for concert sound. The navigation for the kenwood 715 is a little smaller than din size so i was able to cut the rear pocket so it would sit flush. thanks again.
