ever use Paper Mache(sp)? similar process, but slightly harder. Still have to cut the Fiberglass into strips and soak it in Resin. You just have to make sure you mix the resin right, so that it doesn't harden too fast or too slow. Also, plenty of brushes and gloves cause you can't get Resin out. Not too hard, search Yahoo, there are a few groups on Fiberglassing.

The hard part is working with it where you can't see it, and you can't lay it out flat. And, buy a decent respirator (or get your hands on one)

I just made a fiberglass enclosure to to fit above my spare tire well in my FX. All I can tell you is you'll need a lot of patience. You need to make sure that when you resin up the fiberglass you leave as few air bubbles as possible, and you also need to ensure that you make it at least 5 layers thick. The thicker the better.

Dissident is right about the respirator. The fumes are dangerous to your nervous system so make sure you buy one of the painter's respirators (around 25-40bux). You shouldn't be able to smell the fumes with the respirator.

Gd luck and post results!

You can buy cheap brushes to use at either HArbor Frieght and Tool, or you can go to something like Odd Lots or the dollar store and buy cheap brushes (like two for a buck) - if you can't find any normal ones, look for the kids art stuff.

The biggest problem I had was trying to cut the fiberglass into strips, as it killed the cheap scissors I used. Anyone got any tips on how to do that easily?

You can see how I did my fiberglass enclosures under Encore's System. Just play around with it at first, make a mask, or shoes for your dog before attempting something big. Good luck.
