System Complete..Fiberglassed 12 under strut, sneak peak pics!
Well after a weeks worth of working on it, the system in the Z is completed. We did all the fiberglassing and what not this week, and it turned out awesome!
I haven't seen it yet, so I THINK it may be the first, but we put a 12" sub under the rear strut tower brace.
Anyways, we've got a Project ActiveTuning issue dedicated to the entire install which will have tons of pics of the process and the end result, so look for that in the future.
In terms of all the audio stuff we used in case anybody is interested:
- Infinity Kappa Perfects in the front
- Infinity Kappa 2-ways in the rear
- Infinity Kappa Perfect 12" DVC sub
- Polk/Momo C400.4 4-channel amp
- Polk/Momo C500.1 mono amp
- Tsunami 2 farad cap
- Tsunami wiring
- Pioneer 850MP headunit
We're also working on the in-car pc setup, but had some issues with the monitor, so that had to be sent back. That should be installed within a couple weeks. Also, we installed a rear-view camera, but I'll leave that for the PAT issue...the placement is pretty clever
Anyways, for now, here's a sneak peak at how it turned out:

ss, behind the license plate is the place to do it
spdu4ia, since the box only sticks out a little bit from under the strut, I don't reallly get any glare. When I look for it, I see it, but nothing that distracts me....Also I have fairly dark tint, so I'm sure that helps a little bit.

350Mark, it sounds AWESOME, but only with the hatch closed. It pounds very hard, but very clear, most people can't believe it's on 12" sub. We worked on the install for about a week straight, I would say at least 40 hours with three people working on it.
Spoon, I found the camera on ebay, not sure which brand, but you should be able to find one there for fairly cheap.
