Currently I have an old set of rockford fosgate components with tweeters that dont work because the crossover has malfunctioned but the midranges work perfectly. Is it possible to just use those midranges and place them in the rear or keep the the current full range standard rockford fosgates in the back?

With those who have only midranges in the rear for staging purposes. Is there any disadvantages to the loss of highs in the back?
