Default considering compustar

so now thatmy car is coming together nicely i'm considering a good alarm that can do everything. compustar is the one that cought my eye.

i was wondering if anyone who has one of these has an opionion they would like to share?
is it a good setup?
does the remote start work well on a manual?
how is the pageing feature?
windows go UP and down?

i found a shop that does it in my area and i'm seriously considering getting in within a few days but before i blow the $ my parents gave me for my meal plan for next semester, i'd like to know if it's worth it

and feedback would be greatly apperciated

The remote starter works 98% of the time. Sometimes you hear that starting noise up just before the engine kicks in and runs smoothly for like 20 secs before it tries again, but 98% time it works perfectly. When you work with a manual transmission, you've got to got to place it in some reserve mode. Meaning, you need to have your handbrake up, have the car in neutral, and foot off the brake at least for 2 seconds. The paging feature works fine. Nothing spectacular about it. Although sometimes the alarm is set off because some exterior noise from mufflers or something like that. For the compustar I got, there were two empty memory slots. I used it for the window up / down. It works great, although it might cost you extra for your installer to get at the motors. I was lucky because I knew the guy and he installed it for me free of charge.

All in all, the alarm is good as it can be to today's technology. There's a lot of built in features such as auto lock/unlock (depending how close your remote is to your car), turbo timer, and all that junk. The alarm is relatively well priced, but the install fees might cost just as much the alarm itself.

Hope that helps, PM me if you want other info on it.
