Default Need suggetions for NAV/DVD Movie setup

I'd like to keep my Touring Bose setup stock, but would like a DVD player that would play movies and NAV in the stock position behind the driver seat.

Recommendations?

What screen (touchscreen) would be recommended for this head unit and would fit in the NAV stock hole?

Recommendations? Thanks!

You looking for something like this? Used the stock Nav Monitor with a converter from NAV-TV. Plus added a rear and front camera tied into the stock monitor all controlled by a switch just behind the shifter on the center console in the 'ashtray' like cubby.

Here's the location for the NAV and DVD players that work in conjunction with the stock 7" monitor. If you continue to run into dead ends on an after market setup if you PM me I can give you the name and number of some one who might be able to help steer you in the right direction.
Good luck.

Hey Mike,

It's a little pricey but you might want to check this out.

Insane:

How did you setup the OEM Nav to play DVD...?

Did you find the wire on the OEM Nav LCD output and bridged it to your DVD player....?

Any details explanation will be appreciated....

The original OEM Nav DVD will not play DVD movies with out the addition of a conversion kit. Two do this I needed the following components:

1. NAV-TV allowing FACTORY NAV Screen to play DVD (www.nav-tv.com)
2. AVD300 MP3 DVD Player (www.audiovox.com)

The folks at NAV-TV can direct you to a local distributor who in turn can help you with the install.

My labor & material cost to make the conversion was just over $800.

There may be a better way to accomplish this task but this was the best I could come up with and still maintain all my stock functions.

Hope that helps

hfm:

Thanks for the links, but I don't want to mess with my stock HU. I also want the screen to be in the NAV cubby.

I think maybe the Pioneer Nav/DVD unit might be best, with another brand screen (the Pioneer 6.5" unit doesn't fit, does it?).
