I'm trying to save a few bucks...can I just use the stock Bose 6CD changer setup and just replace the amp with something like an Alpine amp? Would the stock Bose sub and speakers be able to handle a more powerful amp?

 

tried it. sounded worse after just amp. So i had to replace the whole thing...

aftermarket components are not fully capatible with the bose system. they will work but something will burn out after a while.
