Lightbulb Beating a dead horse - Valentine 1 Stealth

Alright so I know there really only two options for our Z's short of the arrows in the rearview mirror that costs $1500!

1. Hardwire the Valentine 1 from the fusebox through A piller and headliner or hardwire it to rearview mirror wire harness. This option is usually finished off by Mike's awesome Z black nylon mount.

2. Wire the Valentine 1 to the rear, behind the rear brakelights. And then use the concealed display in the empty nav screen, somewhere on the dash, or above the rearview mirror.

I think option one is a good overall option and if you are 100% concerned about theft (aka you take it out every night) is a good option.

I think option two is great but only if you aren't 100% paranoid of of a smash and run.

I ran into this install for an M3. I'm trying to brainstorm some ideas off of his install, do any of you guys have any input?

Basically I do NOT want to have to take out the detector every night but I don't want to worry about walking up to my car with a smashed window and missing detector.

Yes I was thinking about it. I need to retain full functionality.

This guy with a BMW 540i actually put it in his headliner.... lol

Actually, unless someone KNOWS that I have a V1 installed, it's practically impossible to see from the outside. Even then, you've got to know what you're looking for.

My rear is tinted 20% and it's garaged nightly, but even when leaving it in the city or at the airport overnight, I've never had any issues...
