Hi Everyone,

I recently purchased a '04 Performance model, and I am ver disappointed with the sound quality of the stock base stereo system. I am looking for some advice on upgrading it without breaking the bank. I am new to car audio and don't don't need a system that will win shows or rattle the neighbors windows. I would just like cleaner, less distorted, sound. I am guessing I will need to replace the head unit, what about speakers? Any help you guys can offer would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

Definately replace the speakers, they suck. Depending on what head unit you go with will determine what speakers to get. If you get an amp you can get some really good speakers but if you don't want an amp look for speakers rated at about 50W RMS. Infinity makes some good ones.
