Are you doing this for the visual effect? I know that there are boxes that have three tens in them, but I have not seen three eights. Any reason why you are wanting to go this route?

Im doing this for space and a more "punchy" bass. 3 10's is to much and very "boomy".

I've got two A/D/S 308rs.2 in Nazar's box. IMO plenty of bass, especially since they fire into the hatch area.

I would think 1 good 10 would be better than 3 8s.

IMHO ofcourse!

Thanks for the compliments. Nazar does quality work. Drop him a line and he'll get back to you with pricing. I supplied the subs, and asked for some special mods, so better ask him for pricing. Feel free to use my pic as an example.......

A well designed 10 or even 12 will be just as fast, punchy, not boomy, and clean as any 8 you will find. It is all in the quality of the driver and the installation. There are some great 10s out there, and a few 12s that will suprise you in terms of SQ as well as SPL and extension (get low).

look into an Adire Brahma 10, JL 10W7, or IDQs or IDMAX subs.

all of these will take very nicely to a well built small sealed enclosure.

good luck in your search

3 JL 8W7s will be a lot quicker than 3 JL 10W6V2s. I'm running 3 10w6v2s sealed and their quick, just not as quick as the 8s. 10s are better for the music I listen to. I'm one of the few that don't care for the W7s.

I am with stu...after having two different w7 setups, I've realized I just don't like the subs sound. It goes low as hell, but to me it's too much of a thudding bass.

I still have to experiment with my z's setup.

Thanks for the help guys!

I currently have a 2004 version of the Kicker CVR 10 dual 2 ohm I had in my vette for 3 weeks before I traded it in and a Kicker KX250.2 amp that I ran it with.

It sounded pretty good so I might just save some $$ and use what I have.

What do you guys think?
