Speed Sensor for Aftermarket Navigations System
I am hooking up an aftermarket nav system and was wondering if anyone knows where the speed sensor is on a 2003 Touring 5 speed. This nav unit needs to connect to the speed to determine direction and sped of the vehicle. Some cars have the speed sensor in the radio harness, is that true for the Bose system and which wire would that be?
Thanks
Thanks
I believe its behind the A/C Controls. Do a search about this, type in AVIC-N1, its in one of those topics.
I am taking mine in this Saturday, apparently they didn't hook it up, because its says its disconnected. I will let you know for sure, then.

The VSS wire is in pin 26, gray 16 pin plug, at the Unified Meter and A/C Amp behind the A/C controls in the center console. The wire is WHITE.
That is according to DEI's direct wire. This wire will vary from 0-12vdc based on speed.
