Which amp?
Guys,
I just purchased an Infinity Perfect 10.1d sub. I need amp to power my one sub.
Which one is a better choice? Which one is more stable at 2ohm?
note: I might stay with the stock HU for now.

i'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for. i own a PG amp, it's very solid. rated at 300 rms, puts out 340 rms. i would spend the few $ extra for the PG. plus it's better looking. check out their tantrum line also. i've got the PG tantrum 300.1.
I like the Alpine amp personally. I have a MRV-F450 powering the whole car. never gets hot..
I also have a Phoenix Gold XS 2300 amp, it gets very hot.. so, it all depends..

Guys,
If I get the MRV-f450, would I be still be able to use my sub (Perfect 10.1d- which is a 4ohm dual voice) wired as 4ohm?
What sub are you powering with the MRV-f450?

If it is a dual 4 ohm it can only be set up as 8 ohm or 2 ohm. Go with the Phoenix Gold but you can get it cheaper here. http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=12981

Guys,
I just got the phoenix gold amp R5.0:1.
Here is the link:

My question is there are two sets of terminal speakers + -- + --.
On the manual it has a side note of: The seperate + and - terminals are internally wired in parallel.
How does this affect my wiring of one sub (Infinity Perfect 10.1d), which is dual coils? I haven't received my sub yet.
Here is a picture from JL, would I just still apply to picture one? Use the positives from the amp and connect on each side of the sub (same as the negatives)?
Thanks,
Tony

It has two outputs so you can hook up two subs. If they are wired in parallel, it would be the same (to the amp) if you wired each voice coil separately (the third picture) as if you wired them in parallel (the first one).
I would suggest you just wire the sub parallel (first picture) inside of the box and run one speaker wire (not two pair. just one). Saves you a couple bucks and results in fewer wires to hide, and has the side benefit of only requiring a 2 post terminal instead of a 4 post (matters only if you build your own box)
