Default firewall

Im going to install my system tomorrow and i was wondering what side the firewall is on? Also im going to keep the stock head unit so i dont have to mess with the bose speakers...I know the hardest part is getting the wire thru the firewall so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Don't know about the 350Z, but on the G35c there's a rubber grommet behind the battery you can go through. Given the similarities of the two, it's likely the same with the 350Z. Just take off the battery cover and the plastic trim behind it to see if there's a grey rubber grommet. This drops down behind the glove compartment.
