Popping noise from speakers
Stero experts. What's the fix?? When I turn my system off, either with the on/off switch or when I shut the car off, the speakers pop. I appreciate your inputs.

You got it hooked up to an amp I presume. That is normal, its just the amp, headunit, and everything turning on at the same time and energy surging though the speakers, some headunits have a setup for a delayed amp start and stop. If yours has that set it to a couple seconds and it will go away.

I have a Clarion VRX935VD (am/fm/dvd/sirus/7"lcd screen, hooked up to two amps, one drives the sub and the other drives the speakers. I believe the popping sound comes jud=st from the rear speakers. I don't believe this HU has a delay amp start up and stop.

I hope who ever wired this thing wired the amp turn leds to the clarion deck rather then the ignition wire.
Did you use to not have a deck installed and still running running amps and speakers? If so, go the place you got it installed and tell them to re wire it.

The problem is the ground wire. Check to make sure the spot you've grounded on is clear of paint, should be bare metal. Make sure the connection is tight. This is almost always the reason for feedback of any kind.

If you installed an aftermarket HU and used a wiring harness it is almost certainly the amo ground. When you wired the deck did you use wire caps, butt connectors, and did you solder? I never solder wires, and usually use wire caps. I would recheck the amp ground... Again make sure you have a clean bare metal surface and a good brass O-ring to connect. also make sure it's tight, use a lockwasher to make sure that it stays tight.. I bet this will correct it.
