SES light went on after HU installed
Guys,
I just installed my HU. I disconnect the neg. terminal and my SES light still went on.
How do I reset (turn it off) that?
My HU is an alpine 9833. So many features, I don't know how to tune it yet. My bass is not that good. I have two amps, Phoenix 5.0:1 & 5.0:4.
Sub is Infinity Perfect 10.1d

that happened with me..
somewhere one here someone said
turn you keys to accessories on and off about 5 times
ie
on, off
on, off
on, off
on, off
on, off
do it pretty quick
and it goes off ...
if not dc the negitive battery terminal and leave it overnight
that will reset your ecu
hope that helps

YOU DONT HAVE TO LET IT SIT OVERNIGHT JUST FOR ABOUT 10-15 MINUTES IT PROBALLY WENT ON DUE TO DISSCONECTING YOU AC/HEATER CONTROL BOX AKA THE WHITE THIN BOX UNDER THE HU AND THEN TURNED THE KEY ON

Guys,
First thing I did was disconnect the negative terminal and make sure no power was going to the car by checking the lights.
Disconnect the white ribbon and the wire for the tripod gauge. Installed my stereo. Connect the white ribbon and tripod gauge back. Then connect my negative terminal.
Whitezed, what procedure did you do to turn it off?
