Question Sirius Radio Setups

Alright guys, I need some help. My FM reception sucks, so I am considering getting sattelite radio. My head unit is the pioneer 8400 which is XM ready. Only problem is that I want to get Sirius radio, but I don't want to use an FM modulator or have a bulky unit showing, basically I want satellite radio without is showing or being in the way.

If you have any ideas, or any pics I would appreciate it.

The XM stuff is controled by the HU

Just curious, why do you want Sirius over XM? I have both, and prefer the music selection on XM.

Easiest option is to buy a Sirius head unit to replace your current.

Is it true that the sound quality on XM is better?

no you just get the crap you need to add onto the deck to make it tune the sirius stations,

I disagree about the music selection...the rock and techno selections on sirius are much better, I have both too. As evident by my statement, It depends on the type of music you are into also, be it mainstream crap or other.

I was just looking around for the pioneer part that you need..... but I cant find anything about pioneer being partners with sirius, you sure its sirius and not Xm??

The HU is XM ready....... but i want sirius, which is why I am having troubles. The reason I want sirius is becuase the music selection seems to fit me better. It appears that sirius is better quality and has more music.

I want to be able to get sirius and use my head unit to control everything. And I don't want to have to get a new head unit becuase I like the one i have.

Sirius is very mainstream, their "techno" stations are just the same dance crap as local radio, I dig the dj mixes on xm much much more. My wife prefers Sirius for the more mainstream top 40 type music.

Pioneer has nothing for sirius, its either get a different HU or get a funky looking box thing
