Alpine V-Drive Head units
9833 : Can someone please confirm. If you are going to run these units as preamp only (no amplified output), do you still have to run fused 8/10 gause lead from battery?

Re: Alpine V-Drive Head units
dannichols,
You don't have to. I just installed my last week. Its a really good unit.
Guys,
I used the American International dash kit. Do you have to use the spacer that came with it? I did not use my. I didn't seem to fit well. Wasn't sure if it is supposed to be inside or outside of the kit.
The reason I ask is, I am getting some rattles over bumpy roads.

dan,
It fits in nicely. I haven't seen the Metra kit yet. I choose it because some people here recommended. You can get the kit at Buy.com and also get the wiring harness.
If you need help with the installation and don't mind coming to covina, I am willing to help you.
