Im hoping/banking it loads the CD at the beginning and then thats it; hard drive alone. yes?
gonna try this out one day. if it's anything like the xbox version, not at all. you can transfer the games from your pc to the xbox via ethernet cable. once transfered, it doesn't use the cd/dvd-rom at all to play the games.

watch out for the maxtor drives, they are prone to crash. very good deal and very cheap, but you kinda get what you pay for. i've had a few bad ones.

all hd are the same size, physically. if the maxtor fits, so should wd.

yeah I didnt understand it; but a few sites said the same thing for some reason. I didnt care to try and get screwed; so I just took the safe road. cost me an extra 30$ too... WD was 50; maxtor was 80.

PS. fryes owns. Ive shopped outpost for a while, but an actual store just opened in atlanta a month ago. incredable.

Default Get it straight.

Is this is what I need to load my games onto my PS2? Cuz if I decide to install it in the Z, be alot easier to carry games.

Yes that is what you need, with a standard IDE hard drive, it seems most people are using the maxtor 120Gb drive as I will be using the same one .

If you are all so bling that you need a PS2 in your Z -- why not just buy the games?
