My installer who has been doing Compustars for a while got fed up with it, he says there are problems. So he recommend me DEI's best alarm the Valet 554R.
I got that and am happy with it. Remote Start and all those goodies.

I've got the Compustar and have had no problems with it whatsoever. It's all in the installer. If you're a beginner, I would suggest against installing it yourself. The only place in Socal that I trust to install a Compustar in my car is Greg Sound of Alhambra. Or me... if you pay me lots of mula.
Actually the 350z inst very complicated to do but for a first timer I wouldnt recommend it. If your ever gonna be on the east coast around buffalo hit me up, i work for a compustar dealer and am more than qualified to install these ( put one in my 350z).

What I've "heard" is that CompuStar is made for manual transmission vehicles.
If its on gear and you try to press the remote start it wouldn't allow you to.
That's just what I heard and haven't seen it personally.
Comments please!

YooiY,
The guys at Sound Check in San Diego will hook you up with a clean Compustar installation; however, you may need to buy the Compustar alarm through them instead of bringing your own. I got the top of the line 2WSS-AS installed through them ($1000 w/ all extras) and I couldn't be happier. Don't be intimidated by their shady looking alley shop because they know their ****. In my experience, Best Buy, Tweeter, and Al & Ed's Autosound couldn't install the same alarm if their life depended on it.

It won't allow you to use auto start while you're in gear. It's a safety feature.
YooiY - I actually would charge by hour instead of a regular flat rate. I would really contact Greg Sound if you can make it up to LA for the install. They are trust worthy and also will probably be half as much as what I'd charge.

Thanks for the response guys...I may end up putting this back on eBay...not ready to pay that much for an alarm/install hehe. I'd rather get ground wires and pulley first! =P
Any takers? $180 shipped...
