I need some price quotes for installing some stuff in my Z. I getting the stealth box from JL Audio with 2 10" W3($500.00)and 2 JL amps, a 500w and 300w. I'm also getting a JL component system plus a kenwood DVD/CD/MP3 player in the dash($1000.00). This is all good stuff, not crap. Roughly about what would you expect to pay for all this plus installation? This installer quoted me $4200.00. Is this too much or is he in the ball park? Does anyone know where to get JL Audio stuff cheap? Thanks

Yeah, unless this guy's doing some kind of fiberglass work or SEMA quality install job, this is way out of hand. What exactly was his detailed quote? Can you pls. provide the number of labor hours and the detailed cost of parts? Is he building some fancy amp rack or a false floor or something? That MIGHT justify that, but otherwise sounds to me like this guy's trying to take you for a ride. If that's the case, good luck finding a competent installer!

 

hey thanks for the imput. He might be taking me for a ride. He said it will take like 2 days to install everything. No there are not amp racks or nothing custom, he is just hooking it all up, and the box is made already. This price includes labor and wires plus all the stuff I mentioned. He gets me everything at his cost. The box with the speakers are like $500, the amps are about $1000 together and the head unit is $1000. So how much do you think I should pay? He gets paid $55 a hour labor.

yeah, Nazar, I saw your website a few days ago and sent some emails, but I guess you guys didnt get it. I really like the powdercoated 3 10" sub enclosure for the Z. How much is that? I would get that instead of the stealthbox by jl audio. Do you think this installers figures are right or is he ripping me off? I would go to you guys with no trouble.
