6.5: MBquarts front ???
og muddbone -- The Rockford Fosgate speakers are 6.5" Power series..newest model available at Best-Buy.. They are not components..just 2-way. From my experience, speakers with cone material that looks like it could stop a bullet are great for max sound level, but seem to lack in low/moderate volume sound quality. Some of the best I've heard have actually been composed of reinforced paper if you can believe it.
The Rockfords were also a Pain to get in the doors..The magnet is huge and doing the spacer trick with the OEM speakers was tricky because of the rear shape of the spkr metal housing.
FWIW the only speaker I've been really impressed with in my car is the 12" MB Quart Reference DVC sub.
DragonGcoupe -- Dynamat claims their Extreme product is like .42 lbs per sq foot. I have purchased a lot of it and mine seems to be more like half a pound per foot. Anyway, I used 50 sq ft on the whole car, I was skimpy in areas that I feel aren't important and I used a lot in areas that are. It made a huge difference in the sound quality, feel and vinrations/rattles within the car..it made a moderate difference to me in the noise deadening from the tires/road. Coating the fender wells helped a little more, but I am considering adding a layer of sound reducing material to the lower portions inside. I would say maybe 6-10 sq ft to do a door based on how your coverage, about 3-5 pounds.

Not bad. When I get my Z, I plan on ripping out all existing speakers and adding a JL Audio either 300/4 or 450/4 amp to run a set of MBquart Q-Lines. It will look completely stock and sound awesome. I know that dynamat really helps the speakers hit harder and clearer, and I won't need a sub. Too bad there isn't a way to add a 6-CD changer to the OEM stereo. I thought the dynamat weighed way more than that... But if it's that little to cover the doors, I can really cover them good without worrying about weight too much.

I threw Crystal Mobile Sound 6.5in. Components in the doors and I had to build a custom mount for them because they were too big to fit behind the stock panel. They sound great, especially w/ 100 watts going to them from my Orion amp.
Srivero297, What model of orion amp are you using? I am now thinking about going with crystal speakers 3way set up and love the looks of the newer orion amps sleek like my Z. Are the crystals good in sound quailty or more for SPL and what model are you running?

I like the sound of my crystals. I got them w/ a silk cone and silk tweeters.
