Do you know if the CDA-9855 has an option like that? I want to hook up a DVD player and an IPOD interface. Lets say I can only choose one and have to go w/ an FM modulator for the DVD player, are they OK or a waste of time?
thanks,

To avoid using an FM modulator (I would at all costs), since you're going with the 9855 you'd have to get the Alpine DVD player which has an AiNet pass thru so you can ALSO hook up your iPod interface or an AiNet aux RCA adapter (KCA121B) or anything else that can be controlled via the AiNet system
damn, I was trying to avoid getting the Apine DVD player cause of how much it costs. Maybe at ths point in the game im better off not doin a DVD player. Any other ways? Maybe using a different HU? Eventhough I really liked the 9855.
If you don't get the Alpine dvd player than theres no other way around an FM modulator, unless that module that Alpine has that allows you to run 2 changers would work with anything other than a changer. It's part number KCA410C iirc
I just got an Alpine 6.5" screen and the same DVD player, I can't wait to put it in
MajorWoody how much modification, if any, did you have to do to get that screen in?? Thanks

The screen he used is the TMEM770 6.5" touch screen which retails for $649.99, mine is the TMEM710, same size but not touch screen for $349.99 retail. The TMEM580 5.8" would be easier to fit but retails for $399.99, don't know why
cause smaller lcds below 6", especially good ones, acutally for the most part, cost hte same if not more than bigger ones (above 6
