Default New system pics... ALL elemental designs!

Finally got around to finishing my install yesterday! I've had all the components sitting around for at least 6 months.
Let me tell you this system sounds AMAZING! Everything is geared to SQ and words can't describe the detail in the mids and highs, and how incredibly tight the sub is, you can't even tell it's getting close to 900 WRMS.

Alpine 9835

Elemental Designs Nine.1 and Nine.2

Not a very showy crossover location, but it works!

Elemental designs eDi6500 woofer and tweets

And Finally ED 13Ov.2 in corner fiberglass box. Future plan is to add another mounting ring to it, bondo up the front....then what do you think, paint black or color of car, or just vinyl it?

Those crossovers look like CDT Satnet 560's. Tweeter grills look the same as CDT stuff too. Wonder if CDT OEMs to ED? If they sound like the CDTs, then I can understand why you are so happy with the sound.

Nice setup!

I'd vinyl the subwoofer enclosure if you use the trunk frequently. Lot of effort to pre a box for paint then just to have it scratched up.

Badfish25, what do you think about the ED 13Ov.2? I am thinking about getting 2 X 11Ov.2. Just trying to get some feed back on how they sound without getting to hear them. How would you compare it to say a JL W6V2? I know the SQ is up there. Can the SPL hang with the JL as well??

thanks man, looks really good!!!

Are those tweeters down in the kick panels?

On your crossover why not make a second layer of panel mounted above your amplifiers. I plan on doing something similar but using an aluminum base plate with stand offs mounting a clear plexiglass platform above for the crossover, cap, and power distribution block.

Vantage: partsexpress.com
James: I always make my own spacers, since my edi's were first production run they are a little deeper than most for some reason, so to make sure they didn't hit the bottom of the door panel I positioned them to raise the speaker up a bid from the stock location.
Paul: Yes tweets are in the kick panels, after placing them in all different locations I decided that is where they sounded best. Stock location made them sound weird. And truely you can't locate the tweets as being so low.
Eventually I will be redoing the amp rack, but it's pretty tight in there now, so a second level would be kinda hard. A little two sided tape keeps them in place for now.
Please post pics when you redo yours, sounds cool.

I'm about to redo my whole system with all ED products. Front speakers, rear speakers, subs, and amps. For the rear speakers I was thinking about sticking in some midrange speakers, not sure yet, What did you stick in your rears? It's going to take some time, but I'm sure its going to be well worth it, from all the comments I've heard about ED.

Cool: My entire front stage and amps are going to be Elemental. please describe the sound if you could of the 6500s.

I absolutely hate harsh tweets. Could you post some of your impressions of the setup? I hear the silk domes are very musical and sound great.

Thanks

Did you experiment with the tweeter locations? I'm curious if your ears liked the kicks better than the sail panels. Looks nice though.
