Sorry....
On Christmas day I was bored after going to see all the relatives and decided to give it a go. I've had many requests for a deeper box and an amp rack so i figured I do this combination. I'll probably be able to figure something out using this amp rack with the normal under strut box also.

Hope you get your box soon

The custom box that Mike is offering now has an amp rack in the back.. so does the amp sit on top of that piece? If so, wouldn't people be able to see what amp you got? Or am I looking at it wrong...

yeah your amp would be exposed for the world to see.. you ave the option of not mounting the amp there and just use that as a cover for the dead space on the sides of the box

well, dont get too demanding with this it is a prefab box afterall, though custom fit, but still atemplate, if you are worried about the amp being seen, then fabcriate a hidden amp rack

one way i would love to do a Z is to hide the amp behind the seat in a nicely fabed enclosure and flush mounted amps heck do the subs o the other side with a fiberglass enclosure

sorta like a much more simple version of this install on an MR2

I'm hoping to have an enclosure for the ZR in the next few months.

I'm moving into a lot bigger place and getting some help which should free up some of my time and allow me to make some new design's. I do need help....been basically working 7 days a week for a year and a half to keep up with orders.

BtW don't be surprised if a women starts answering my toll free phone line. I'm hiring my wife as my first employee......mmmm we'll see how that goes.

Thanks mike

man mike you got yourself a lifelong career doing this... that's pretty cool. if you had good help you could even expand into a larger car market but that's all entirely up to you. what were you doing be4 this btw?

Things have really taken off in the last year. I started out with one car and one design. Now I make enclosures for six different cars with over twenty designs.

Since I'm moving into a bigger place I plan on adding cars/designs, employee's, and taking it from there.

Prior to this I was in the floor covering business with my father and I owned and operated an online medical supply business(Elite Medical Supply). I've since closed my website, quit the floor covering business, and have been doing this full time for awhile now. Best move I've ever made............

Ok...NOW you announce a plan for a roadster enclosure. Right in the middle of my fiberglass project. I would've waited to see how it came out before starting this if I had known...now my car, garage, and house, all smell like fiberglass!

Oh well, what's the plan for the roadster at this point? Involve removing the spare, tools, etc? Or will it sit above all that?

I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. I've looked at the ZR trunk a couple times and its pretty small. It may have to lose the spare but I dont know yet. The ZR will be my top priority once I'm in my new place.

I do have a spare tire well design (2-10" or 1-12") but I haven't had a chance to see if the ZR spare tire area is the same as the coupe. Anyone know??

thanks mike
