At this time I don't have anything for the stock location. It's an enclosure I've always wanted to design but I just haven't gotten around to it.

Mike, i'll be back from my deployment soon. i'll hit you up once i am back. maybe we can try to make it to show together. i am moving to New Jersey but frst i will have a short stint in Maryland. perhaps you can come up for SEMA or HIN in atlantic city!!

keep up the good work.
Thanks! The Z is getting there. Just some engine dress-up, interior mods, and believe it or not I need to put a stereo system in and I'm done.

I'd love to come up to one of those shows. I'm sure the ball & chain would be up for it. Give me a call when you get back.

Mike you need to start your own website to sell from. Keep doing the ebay thing, but this will just expand your exposure and increase your profits. You make an awesome product at a great price, you need to capitalize on that...

I think your right. I need to talk to someone and see what we can come up with. It would be nice to send customers over to a nice website.

Ebays been great but there's so much fraud on there anymore that people are starting to shy away from it. Also, eBay is exspensive and they are raising their rates again next month.

Whats funny is I always complain about my fees.... Now a friend of mine has a rather large business on ebay and his ebay fees alone run $35,000-$50,000 a month....unreal

thanks mike

I have 2 10w6v2 subs and an 1000/1 JL amp. How do you think that this new box design will make them sound?

Thanks

I too thought the stock location would work well and looked for weeks for a solution. This weekend I tried to put something together myself to see how it works in my 2006 Z.

I used .5" MDF and put it all together inside the car, I let the caulk dry over night and tested it this morning. I found the vibration of the cone vibrated the seat (6" clearance) but produced little "bass" to add to the system. After testing it out all day I was disgusted with the distraction of the vibration and little to no bass response. The work involved with removing the interior panels, the OEM sub bracket and bloodying my knuckles to clear out the space to get the box in place was rediculous for the payoff. I was so disgusted with the outcome knowing I wasted the weekend and had to get back to work Monday morning that I just ripped it apart so I could get to work tomorrow.

The outside dimensions of the enclosure were 10.5" H x 12" D1 x 9" D2 x 15" W. I tested my friends 10W7 and a 300Wx1 Alpine amp and made no difference in quality. It seems this space will be forever assigned to stowing capacitors, amps, and duffle bags.

I have seen Mike's work and am very impressed. From reading the posts on this site, I am convinced I should see him for my next enclosure.

I think it will sound great. The airspace is almost perfect for the 10w6v2.

I'm starting to hear back from those that have purchased this design and they seem to really like it.

thanks mike

Mike,

I really like how the JL Stealhbox looks behing the strut bar. Is there any way you can design one like that but with more airspace?

Thanks,
Leo

Ok well...I'm no longer in need for a roadster enclosure. I stopped work on my fiberglass one too. I just traded in my 04 roadster for an 06 coupe today.

Will be ordering a box from you within the next week or so. My questions:
1. I have a frost interior, do you offer something to match with that rather than the black?
2. Is it possible to have it wrapped in vinyl rather than carpeting?
3. If the answers to the above are no...can I just buy a box from you with no covering at all so I can put my own vinyl on it?

FYI I received my under strut box from Mike yesterday 3 days after it shipped from FL-AR. Very well made, sounds great with a punch 60x2 mono/series wired with 2 10" Infinity 1040W. Very easy to conceal wiring by design. Superior carpet.

Mike is a true professional and runs a great business. This is a 20 minute install if you have your wiring in place and is the best, cleanest, most custom and functional 350z sub solution. Highly recommended should you have the need.

See pics below (note you can see the subs from outside if you are looking for them)

Default The Next Step

I've heard nothing but great things about these boxes, and have been contemplating purchasing one. Originally I couldn't due to the fact my Eclipse Titanium 10" was well over the depth of the original single 10 box. With the new box and amp rack, I believe that would be no longer a problem. But what I think would seal the deal, would be a flush mounted option on the sub. Obviously I can see huge difficulties as most subs have different dimensions, but man that box with a flush mount would be sick.

Keep up the great work Mike.

yeah I know the fealing, a few thousands rounds worth of ammo from a 7.62 machine gun with no hearing protection. I still can't hear right in my right ear.

which setup is recommended if you are looking for deep strong bass? I listen primarily to hip hop/rap, and love deep strong bass to set off car alarms, can anyone offer advice please, I will be purchasing from mike soon, but need some input so I can make the right choice for my listening pleasure!! Recommedations on Subs and Amps would be great also. I'm running 6.5 components focals in the front, and will be getting another set of 6.5's for behind the seat, pushed by Audison SRX4.

Thanks all!!
