I'm looking around for a new sub box that provides strong bass, good response and good looks. it seems like many of the dual sub enclosures don't have enough air volume for a sub to breathe right. I asked Mike at ZEnclosures about this and he sent me some pics of a new sub box he is coming out with. It has just under .7 cu ft per sub and an amp rack. What do you guys think?
that would be nice if it were say for a single sub ported.... i don't think .7 per sub is good ported... i don't think he would make a ported box since there are too many variables in different subs.

The box is designed for two 10s. It is not ported, it is a sealed enclosure. I have no idea how it goes in, I assumed it slid in from the back like his other designs, but now that I look at it...? This box was just finished a few days ago and is not up for sale yet. I will post more info as I get it. Thanks for the replies.

This enclosure just slides in under the strut bar then the amp rack sits on top of the box and gets a few screws...very easy install.
I don't do any porting because so many subs required different lengths, diameters, and locations of the ports.
I will have them for 2-8's, 2-10's, and 1-10. From my calculations the JL 10w7 will fit and most likely any other 10" sub on the market. Airspace is approx. 1.35 cu. ft. for the single ten and .67 per sub for the double.
I've been trying to get these listed on eBay but I've been so busy with current orders I haven't had a chance...very soon
thanks mike

Interesting design, looks easy now that I see it out of the car. I hear these are going to run about 130 plus shipping, not bad for a solid box that looks custom installed.

This is the only one he has made as far as I know. The sub side of the box should look the same as the previous designs, just with more air volume and the amp rack area up front.
wow, just like the one I have. except mine is fiberglass and covered in vinyl. I have it loaded with 2 10w6v2's and the sound is awesome.
I am sure this will sell big time Mike.

PLEASE practice safe sound and if you care to consider not going deaf do a web search for the safe OSHA sound levels and exposure duration ... you're going to be surprised at just how quickly excessive volume levels can cause you to have ringing in the ears (my blessing) or to go deaf/have hearing loss.
I blew my ears out back in the 1980's with $10,000 worth of Yamaha, Nakamichi, VMPS, and Infinity equipment and about 4 hours worth of exposure. The volumes were higher than that that I had on the flightdeck of an aircraft carrier around fighter jets in afterburner. Because on deck I was forced to wear double hearing protection.
Since that one day of exposure I've always spread the word to those that will bother to listen. The ringing is bad enough that it's hard to sleep in a quite room. Without a noise to help mask the sound it's rotten.
Be careful out there, you only get one chance to over expose your ears and then you get to enjoy a lifetime of ringgggggggggggggggg ....
