a few dollars later....a full center console and a switch assy. were purchased, after so many trial and errors the dealer finally got me the pieces that I needed...are these cars different in any way? we tried 3 different consoles for '06 coupes and none will match only this one...even the dealer was surprised.

Wow very nice... Do you have the part numbers that finally worked? The stock nav buttons do anything?

What size screen did you get to fit in the 06 piece? is it the same 7 inch one you had before?

this set up is just for looks...the whole center panel had to be changed and no plain finisher is sold to cover the gap so I had to buy a complete switch assy. to cover the space between the screen and the radio. I'm going to wire the switch assy. so it will light up when the radio is on. The screen is the same one I had on the previous (Farenheit) set up I just had to put it all together. I saved the old center panel so if I decide to sell the car I just put it back on.

Do you think you could use that console if you have OEM nav? It would be sweet to swap out for those buttons with that console.

So your setup before was the 06 cubby with the back cut out, right? I am planning on doing that, but am curious why you decided to change it to the 06 nav console. Did the door block any view of the screen? Any other reason you changed your setup? Either way, I agree it looks better this way. One thing I like about your old setup is that you can hide the monitor from view.

Thanks guys...the set up was the '06 cubby with a slot cut out for the bottom of the screen to go in so you could close the door. The door will close if you do it that way, but the reason I changed was because I could not see that door up all the time, I just grew tired of it and I could see the inside of the dashboard, it was not me, but it was a cheap alternative, so a few hundred dollars later I finally got what I wanted. I really think if you have the $ and you want something to look stock, this is the way to go....plug and play. Did I say I have above items for sale?

Clean install. I don't feel secure with 2 screens being exposed the the public though, but clean install none the less. So how much was the OEM 06 NAV cubby anyway?

My car only goes to my work and is a secured parking space with cameras and is right outside my office next to my window and it gets parked on weekends at home so no worries....and if they really want to steal it, they will steal it...no sense on worrying. It set me back $460. like they say " It's only $"...
