Audio set up - installed 3 days ago / no 56k
Did this with a friend 3 days ago and also spray painted the side markers. I had clear ones at my house and my friend took one off and we decided to spray paint it for the he!! of it, think it actually came out pretty good. Want to go for that black/red combo (I know, like every other redline...would go gold, but FSU colors...and where I live, BAD IDEA! Go gators!) Anyway, I'll be getting new rims eventually...debating on doing the powdercoat thing to hold me over. We shall see...
Well let me know what you guys think!! Really like how the AMP/GPS/Ipod cable came out...Not too happy with the gap on my D3, i'll change the dash kit eventually...
(the felt looks good in the gap between the D3...but will change out dash kit eventually)
(Ipod cable in the cubby whole...)
(think this looks pretty OEM, didn't want to stick it to my roof or anything...)
(i know all about the gap...should have ordered the metra kit!)
(back of the box)
(mounted the amp in the "glove box" behind the passenger seat...keeps it clean and still have room for my 4 channel when I get it.)
Box is from ZEnclosures, and works great!!
-Leor *sorry the pics are so big*

What'd you use for your interiors?
Edit: Oh, there's no 4-channel... Duh. Anyways, I've got POWER series components in mine, and they sound excellent. But, if you want to take it a step up, go JL Audio XR Series.

Thanks Escobar!
Fairly Z - On the interiors, yeah I'm not 100% sure yet...the stock Bose fronts scream like crazy...I only switched out the rears because I had it taken apart anyway. So i'll wait it out, and I'm sure in a month I'll want it louder...haha

that setup looks clean and simple. And nice spot for the amp, wont be easy for people to jack it. But being enclosed inside a club box like that, isn't it bad for cooling?

Not really, the rockford amp has an insane heat sync and is all around good under high heat. That's why I went with the rockford...I thought the same thing though. I haven't really seen any other amps with that kind of heat sync...
Thanks for all the compliments guys!

Yeah D3 is bad ***!! I installed the Pioneer Bluetooth piece, but my phone won't work w/ it for some reason. It's an HTC S621...but other then that it's an awesome unit!

+1 on the bracket. I drilled new holes in the bracket about 3/8" back from the factory holes and it resulted in a nice fitment with the metra kit. Because of the shape of the bracket, I ended up with 3 holes instead of 4 but it was still tight, no wobbles or rattles. Sorry no pic.
I suggest moving the antenna piece from the center of the top of the dash to underneath one of the trim pieces that cover the rear strut. Plenty of flat metal surfaces for the magnet to grab onto and it's hidden. May not be important enough to pull everything apart to make the change but it's a small step towards more clean.
My RF amps have the huge heat sink on the bottom and I mounted them in the cubbies behind the seats, was concerned about heat so I mounted them using "legs" I made out of 1" x 1" pieces of wood that came with a jenga style game. Not the cleanest but good enough and I don't worry about heat.

+1. Same problem as you with the gap. Same solution. Mocked it up with the bracket and dash trim out of the car, drilled new holes and it's perfect. JUST the Metra dash kit won't solve that gap problem. I used the Metra kit and I still had to redrill the holes to make it perfect. But I'm picky too. So YMMV.
