Install Pics (Finally)
Ok I am almost done with my install, all that is left is to get my JL10W6 Anniversary Edition Sub. Should have that in a few weeks, I will post pics and let you know how it sounds. I would like to thank Jeff for doing an outstanding job on this custom install job. Enjoy the pics, I'll take better pics later, but since I am going out of town for 3 weeks, I wanted to get some quick pics in.
BTW, the amp rack is plexiglassed, and both the sub and the amp rack have vinyl grills, so when you are looking in the car, you see nothing.

Before you start bashing me on my personalized plate, its being processed as we speak. Supposedly Colorado, takes forever on these things, and yes, I forgot to white out the plate, so STALKERS and THIEVES, stay away. I carry a 9MM at all times.
Hey, why did you choose rockford fosgate?
Are they good products for the money?
What type of music are they best for?
I listen to electronic music, trance , house , drum and bass...
What would my ideal setup be for this music, I want a Tight Tuned Bass instead of a rappers boom boom. lol
thanks,
squadelite

RF is one of the top selling brands of amps and subs. Maybe not the best, but very reputable.
I have had these particular amps for about 2 years, and decided to put them in my new Z. If I had to do it all over again, I would have went with a different amplifier, maybe JL amps, but overall I am satisfied with RF. RF has a demo van with (8) 15" RF HE subs, and its powered by just the one amp I have, the BD1000, and it hits 159.
I am not in it for the bass, as you can see by me only having one 10", I just happened to have those amps and decided to put them in. Hope I answered your question.

question...i'm about to make an amp rack simliar to yours...but i got a question, did you guys wire any fans into the enclosure to help with cooling? I have two jl amps that i would like to put in there...and i'm just worry that its enclosed like you did above...it might get too hot.
thanks

I didn't put fans in, since I am not juicing the amp for the one 10. But I would get a fan if I was you. I have only listened to mine for 2 days, so I am not sure if it needs one or not.
OK, here is the last of my install pics. After a long awaited arrival, I got the JL Anniversary Series 10W6 and had it installed. It sounded like complete crap. So they wired it at 12 ohms (6 ohm speaker). And it sounded a little better. Well needless to say, I chose the Rockford Fosgate 10 HX2, sounded way better, but I am still not happy with the setup. Is it the box, or what? The box is a sealed box at .064 cubic feet. I am starting to get really pissed here, I have invested over $3500 and can't seem to get the bass and the mids/highs to sound the way I want them to sound.
Don't get me wrong, it sounds good, but the bass, jus plain sux. It bottoms out on bassy songs. Any suggestions. I am planning on putting my (2) RF 12" HX2's in a fiberglass box built in the tire compartment area.
Suggestions? Or is that all a 10" has. Anyways heres the pictures. The install is an A+ but the sound quailty just isn't there.
