Its my favorit install by far.

I am going to try to build my kicks in the same fashion this June. I'll document the process well.

I guess you could put the spare in the passenger seat...or mount it to the rear bumper.

I have the same Dynaudios and used this thread to create my kick panels. They turned our very good, I went with a darker color vinyl to cover, but the pics of how they mounted and bondo'd helped immensely. I literaly brought the computer to the garage and built while looking at the pics. His install is still one of my favorites...

like the swinging mounted tire you see on a bronco, or gran vitara.

That would be a sweet photochop

How that installer got those panels to keep their shape hold on to the plastic is amazing. Perhaps I didn't prep the plastic correctly but as soon as the resin hardened up, it all came up off the plastic.

I roughed them up pretty good with 100 grit. If it didn't work, I would have been screwed. I also used a screw to hold the wood cutout in place, which I actually glassed right over, so that may helped as well...

Did you ever redo them, or did you just use some gorilla glue to keep them in place?

I think I screwed up when I used hot glue to hold down some of the fleece on the plastic. Next time I am going to rough the hell out of it with 100 grit....oh well.

I ended up scraping out as much hot glue as possible and re glassing in the areas the resin didn't hold.

What did you cover yours in?
