I own a 2004 grey 350z that I inherited from my mother. Anyway, the passenger side door wouldnt open from the inside or out.

somehow, by the grace of god, the door opened and allowed me to take the panel off and take a look. I found out that the door handle is in need of replacing.

Also, i beleive there is a broken white plastic peice that keeps the little metal ball on a wire string in place.

That is my first problem.

I rigged a peice of wire around this ball and connected it to its proper place. After this the door would open easily from the inside. I put the door back together and once i was done another problem arose.

Now the unlock mechanism in the door wont switch to unlock, wirelessly or manually, and its making a weird noise when it tries.

Please help me in telling me if im on the right track and what is the white plastic piece that connects the ball, so i can order another. also what am i to do about the stuck door lock?? thanks

 

i had the same problem with my 04 it always did it,when you finally unlock it which it will eventually,mines would do it over and over i just started unlocking it manually instead of using the remote and the unlock button i got tired of it getting stuck all the time i finally sold it,and got me an 07 and i unlock with my finger just in case.
