Default How so I fix this confusing headlight malfunction?

I own a 2003 350z track model. today i replaced my old headlights with new ones, the bright and fog lights work on both. One the left headlight, the blinker light occasionally will turn and stay on, on the right headlight the blinker will not work at all, instead the LED strip of lights will flash like the blinker is supposed to. The fuses in the engine bay have all been checked and replaced as needed.

Sounds like you wired your new headlights incorrectly or the new headlights' wiring is incompatible with the harness in your '03. What headlights did you install?

“LED strip”.... aftermarket. Wiring incompatibility is my guess.

Not all Spec D headlights do this but seems like half of the headlight issues here and elsewhere are due to these lights showing different voltage drops where the car itself reads them as "oooops, something wrong" and reacts accordingly. Yours don't seem to be doing this, yours seem to malfunctioning on their own with no help from the car. Sorry to say if that's the case, only solution is to return them and get OE or Depo replacements, pretty much the go-tos for replacement lights. Not slamming the rest of the fancy feature lights out there but as mentioned, when these situations come up, they're almost always these or other eBay aftermarkets.

It appears the wiring is incorrect. I'm not familiar with the wiring harness on that particular model, but you're going to need to determine which wires on the Spec-D harness trigger each specific light. From the sounds of it, you have the LED strip wired to your turn signal trigger.

If those lights aren't just plug n' play, you're going to need to do some testing to figure this out. It's possible the pinout on the Spec-D wiring harness is for an 06+ harness even though it's advertised for 03-05. Those Spec-D headlights have one projector and I'm assuming it utilizes a "flapper" for the high beam - similar to OEM 06+ bi-xenon headlights. The back picture of the Spec-D shows an 8-pin harness. You have an '03 with an 8-pin harness and the OEM headlight had a dedicated H1 bulb for the high beam and a D2R HID bulb for the low beam but the wiring is slightly different. I think you need to re-pin or re-wire the Spec-D harness to make it work.
