Question Bose amp wiring digram

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. I tried searching for this answer, but nothing stood out. I'm looking for the wiring diagram on the factory Bose amp. If anyone can point me in the right direction or has it somewhere they can share. I have an enthusiast coupe that didn't come with the Bose system, but I bought a wrecked Z that did, and I'm trying to wire it up to work with the new head unit. I've tried looking online, but I haven't found what I'm looking for. Has anyone wired it up to an aftermarket unit? Is it really worth it? I wanted to bolt the factory sub in. I didn't want to cut up my car to put something else in right now, and I got this set up for free.

Probably not really worth it. The OEM Bose system is fine for factory, but nothing fantastic. With that said, I still have the OEM Bose system and it's sufficient. lol.

If you're using an aftermarket head unit, you will need a PAC ROEM-NIS2 wiring interface for the signal output from your (likely) 4 ohm head unit output to convert the signal to sound decent with Bose's half or 1 ohm impedance speakers. Additionally, if your Z does not have all the necessary wiring, then you'll need to run new wiring as well. In the end, it's probably a better idea to just go aftermarket from your head unit to compatible speakers/amp(s). If I were you, instead of retrofitting the Bose system into your enthusiast, I would just install a dedicated sub amplifier and power new speakers in the factory locations from the head unit. If you wanted to step up the power, you could always use a multi-channel amplifier.

But, since you asked for it, attached is the FSM for the audio-visual portion which includes everything for the Bose and non-Bose audio systems. You did not specify your year, so this is for an '05.

IMO, salvaging an old Bose system is not worth it. You need all the Bose components (speakers/amps) for it to work right. There are adapters for using an aftermarket head unit, but if a speaker or the sub decides to blow, you would need to drop in an OEM Bose replacement for things to work right. Also, I don't think non-Bose equipped Zs had the main wiring harness for the Bose system. The Bose harness is integrated with other wire bundles from my understanding. It routes between the dash and trunk area. It's a serious amount of work to install the harness.

As Heel suggests, you're better off going aftermarket.
