Placed my order for a Touring Daytona Blue Manual today.

The dealer asked me how much deposit I was going to put down. I said $1000 and then waited for him to say we need $5000 as per the discussions here about the Nissan requested deposits. He replied "Okay, that’s plenty". Once it was all signed for I asked him about the Nissan requested $5000 thing but he had not been told that and was expecting his first 350z in Feb which was ordered with a $1000 deposit.

Did you pay RRP or were you able to get better than that.

I would be interested to hear from others as to how pricing is Australia is going.

RRP is $59,990 ie before on road costs. On road price in QLD is about $64,000. I got it for a tad over RRP with no trade-in.

I should be signing for my Daytona Blue Track this week now that I seem to have found a decent dealer with common sense.

BTW did they give you a delivery time frame? So far I've been told April.

 

Yep same here.
The dealer said April at the latest, but he was going to try and get it earlier. I don't like his chances so I am working on April.

Like your choice of colour Bev, paid recommed list price, ordered back in October, hell it's been a drag, worst part I pre-traded in the Clubbie R8 6 speed to get a good price. God I hope I've done the right thing, loved that car, been driving an old VL Commodore, still it's got Nissan donk.

 

Well I finally ordered today. Daytona Blue Track. Can't say what I paid except it was under RRP (but not by much). Oh and I got my refundable deposit based upon test drive condition I wanted. Thanks again to those who pointed me to the right dealers.
